AR 600-63 addresses health promotion, healthy behavior, physical and spiritual fitness, environmental health, and Survivor Outreach Services. It requires community-level programs, health assessments, preventive interventions, and tobacco-use controls.
The senior commander will establish and preside over the CHPC. (paragraph 2-1)
Critical components of physical fitness related to Soldier performance are muscular strength and endurance; aerobic and anaerobic conditioning and endurance; mobility (agility, balance, coordination, flexibility, posture, power, speed, and stability); body composition; and a healthy lifestyle. (paragraph 2-2)
Tobacco use is prohibited in all DA-occupied workplaces except for designated smoking areas. (paragraph 7-3)
Use of all tobacco products is prohibited in all military vehicles and aircraft, and in all official vans and buses. (paragraph 7-3)
SOS services are available to all survivors and are available until the survivor desires to discontinue services. (paragraph 8-2)
