What is PAM 710-7 intended to improve?
The core objective is to improve logistics and operational mission performance by controlling and reducing the acquisition, use, handling, and disposal of HM and the generation of HW, consistent with Army supply chain integration and sustainability objectives. (paragraph 1-6)
What does an authorized use and/or user list control?
An AUL is used to control acquisition, identify types of HM usage, estimate HW generation, and to support environmental reporting as prescribed by government agencies, and as a pollution prevention tool. (paragraph 5)
What should be done with serviceable hazardous material above immediate needs?
Quantify serviceable HM in excess of the 1-month operating level or other known immediate needs and return serviceable excesses to the HMCP. (paragraph 5)
How soon must unserviceable hazardous material be returned?
Return all unserviceable HM to the DIS HW office, as soon as the HM is determined to be unserviceable. (paragraph 5)
What must units and facilities publish for hazardous material management?
