DCIPS is the only system authorized for reporting of casualties, and casualty and mortuary affairs case management, in support of Soldiers and Family members. (paragraph 2-1)
DCIPSCR must be used by CACs to submit casualty reports. (paragraph 2-2)
DCIPSForward should only be used when reliable NIPRNET connectivity is not available or other factors preclude its use. (paragraph 2-2)
Timely and accurate casualty reporting is the unit commanders responsibility. (paragraph 4-2)
Submit STACHs when there is a definite change in the persons status from the initial report. (paragraph 4-7)
