How many times must airdrop loads be inspected before an airdrop?
Prior to airdrop, inspect loads or containers rigged for airdrop three times separately. (paragraph 2-2)
When is an airdrop load accepted?
An airdrop load will only be accepted when it is rigged per specific TMs, TOs, or NAVAIR and/or NAVSEA publications distributed by USAQMS, ADFSD, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division at China Lake, or the Joint Special Operations Command. (paragraph 2-2)
What records must rigging units maintain?
Rigging units will maintain a copy (paper or digital) of all three inspection forms (local and/or DoD). (paragraph 1)
Who must conduct the before-loading inspection?
An airdrop support unit JAI other than the rigger who supervised the rigging of the load, and an airlift unit JAI conducts it jointly. (paragraph 1)
What must be reported through command channels immediately?
Report all malfunctions, incidents, or damage to airdropped equipment and/or aircraft through the command channels of the owning unit immediately. (paragraph 4-1)
