AR 725-1 covers chronometer supply and maintenance, special equipment for general officers, blank ammunition for veterans organizations, and arms sales. It also addresses loans and services for Boy Scouts of America jamborees and exchange or sale of non-excess personal property.
Army users are to requisition their chronometer requirements directly on the WIMM. (paragraph 2-1)
Requisitions for chronometers and associated items will be prepared and submitted to the SPCC (N35) under current MILSTRIP procedures. (paragraph 7-40)
All Army chronometer users will submit projected requirements annually to Commander, U.S. Army Tankautomotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), ATTN: AMSTALSCJA, Warren, MI 483975000. (AKZ) prior to 10 March of each year for review and forwarding to the Department of the Navy. (paragraph 2-7)
Overseas and CONUS Army installation commanders will process requisitions for the issue of blank ammunition, if assets are available and requisition has been approved by the OSC, to authorized national veterans organizations without charge for the ammunition or packing, crating, handling, and transportation, if the ammunition is to be used by the eligible organization for funeral ceremonies of a member or former member of the armed forces. (paragraph 4-5)
Only serviceable, nonautomatic, small bore weapons certified safe to fire will be sold. (paragraph 5-11)
