When is national security eligibility allowed?
National security eligibility must be kept to the absolute minimum necessary to meet mission requirements. (paragraph 3-3)
When can a prior investigation be accepted instead of duplicating it?
Investigations will not be duplicated when a previously conducted and current investigation meets the prescribed scope and standard to support a national security or access determination. (paragraph 4-1)
How limited are requests for background investigations?
Requests for background investigations will be limited to those required to accomplish the DA mission. (paragraph 5-1)
Who can submit requests for background investigations?
Requests for background investigations will be submitted only by the authorized requesters designated in paragraph 5 3. (paragraph 5-1)
