It covers formal enlisted entry-level accessions, technical training programs, military training standards, and Initial Skills and Mission Readiness Training. It assigns duties across HQ STARCOM, Delta 1, subordinate units, and training programs, and establishes waiver and records requirements.
Applies to: This instruction applies to Space Force military and civilian personnel permanently or temporarily assigned to Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM).
Ensure all records generated as a result of the processes prescribed in this publication adhere to AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the requestor’s commander for non-tiered compliance items.
T-2 waiver authority is with the HQ STARCOM Commander.
T-3 waiver authority is with the Delta Commander, equivalent or higher echelon if applicable (delegable no lower than squadron/CC or equivalent.
A copy of all approved waivers must be sent to the Office of Primary Responsibility of the publication being waived within 30 days of approval.
