DEL 5 organizes, trains, and equips combat ready USSF command and control (C2) forces for United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) as part of S4S. (paragraph 1)
CDEL 1-5 (when presented) provides the USSF core of the Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC) which executes C2 of forces in order to deliver space effects in support of independent, joint, or combined all-domain military activities across the spectrum of operations. (paragraph 1)
DEL 5 (CDEL 1-5 when presented) operates multiple applications utilized for space operations and cyberspace defense of C2 capabilities. (paragraph 1)
DEL 5 (CDEL 1-5 when presented) is responsible to the Commander, United States Space Forces-Space - Combined/Joint Force Space Component Commander (S4S/CCC/JFSCC). (paragraph 2)
Assess and report unit readiness and effectiveness. Ensure unit Joint Mission Essential Task List/Mission Essential Task List (JMETL/METL) is aligned with this Mission Directive and assigned missions through at least an annual validation. (paragraph 3)
