Applies to: Upon mobilization, this mission directive also applies to AFSPC-gained Air National Guard (ANG) units and members under United States Code Title 10 status.
Provides indispensable launch, landing, and range capabilities to the nation. (paragraph 1)
Reports to and operates under the policy and guidance of the AFSPC/CC as Joint Force Space Component Commander. (paragraph 2)
Commands the forces of the 45 SW, Patrick AFB, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, and all geographically separated locations, activities, and facilities (e.g., Ascension Auxiliary Airfield, and assets at Malabar) associated with 45 SW, PAFB, or the Eastern Range. (paragraph 2)
Executes safe, effective and responsive range operations/oversight to assure access to and from space for National Security Space, civil, and commercial users. (paragraph 3)
Prepares, and when tasked, provides worldwide deployable forces to support expeditionary and contingency operations. (paragraph 3)
