It establishes requirements for maintenance training, flight deck physicals, ordnance handling certificates, egress and explosive system checkout, and ASM records. It also sets qualification procedures for CDIs and other maintenance personnel, including training completion and transfer conditions.
Applies to: Marine Corps Aviation activities must comply with this directive.
“EGRESS/EXPLOSIVE SYSTEM CHECKOUT” does not transfer. (paragraph 2)
Egress/Explosive System Checkout is required for all personnel checking in to the maintenance department. (paragraph 2)
The Marine must be restricted from aircraft Maintenance until the requal is routed and approved by the appropriate signature authority. (paragraph 5)
The CDI GENERAL TRAINING SYLLABUS (OJT) (TECOM) (MC) is a prerequisite for being desginated as a CDI and must be completed prior to designation. (paragraph 1)
Only the MOS CDI 4000 is required as a T&R prerequisite. (paragraph 2)
