The Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) Training and Readiness (T&R) Manual, contained in enclosure (1) provides revised standards and regulations regarding the training of LAAD Marines. (paragraph 1)
Addition of Marine air defense integrated system events, qualifications, and designations to provide training for Marines deploying in support of counter unmanned aerial systems. (paragraph 3)
Table of organization unit sizes were adjusted to accurately capture current requirements per the Total Force Structure Management System. (paragraph 3)
The STFE Stage was designed for MOS 7212 Marines that fill billets in the battery and battalion headquarters with events aligned to the tactical tasks they would be required to execute in combat operations. (paragraph 2)
The Staff Officer Stage was expanded to reflect the secondary roles that junior officers fill within the battalion, and to provide training for tactical tasks that staff officers would be required to fulfill outside of a garrison environment. (paragraph 3)
