Commanders will keep records at the unit and individual levels to record training achievements, identify training gaps and document objective assessments of readiness associated with training Marines. (paragraph 3)
Training plans will incorporate these events to standardize training and provide objective assessment of progress toward attaining combat readiness. (paragraph 3)
Formal school and training detachment commanders will use references (a) and (e) to ensure programs of instruction meet skill training requirements established in this manual and provides career-progression training in the events designated for initial training in the formal school environment. (paragraph 3)
