The T&R Manual contains the individual and collective training requirements to prepare units to accomplish their combat mission. (paragraph 2)
Training plans will incorporate these events to standardize training and provide objective assessment of progress toward attaining combat readiness. (paragraph 3)
Commanders will keep records at the unit and individual levels to record training achievements, identify training gaps and document objective assessments of readiness associated with training Marines and assigned Navy personnel. (paragraph 3)
Commanders will ensure that all training is focused on their combat mission. (paragraph 2)
Simulation may be used, at the commander's discretion, in lieu of live training; or may be used as a precursor to live training in order to help maximize and enhance the live training event. (paragraph 6)
