It establishes the Child Abuse Prevention, Education, and Reporting Protocol and defines forms of child abuse. It addresses mandated reporting, supervision, background checks, visual access, and responses to problematic sexual behavior.
All USMC Personnel must report any suspicions of child abuse regardless of whether they are on or off duty. (paragraph 3)
CYP Professionals who suspect that a child is being exposed to domestic abuse must report it as suspected child maltreatment IAW reference (k). (paragraph 3)
All CYP Professionals are mandated reporters of child abuse and, as such, are required by law to report in good faith any suspected instances of child abuse IAW reference (d). (paragraph 1)
All CYP staff have thorough background check IAW reference q. (paragraph 3)
At all times, while in a CYP program, FCC home, or on the premises, any person other than employees, providers, and family members bringing or picking up children are considered visitors, and sign in and out of the facility, wear identification, and are escorted or are within line of sight of staff who have completed favorable background checks IAW reference (q).
