It describes how Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and special operations component systems operate within the TAGS. It addresses component command structures, air-ground integration, joint air tasking, planning inputs, and battle management areas.

SOF must be prepared to conduct scalable operations with various governmental and nongovernmental agencies, other Services, forces of other nations, or surrogates. (paragraph 2)
SO must be coordinated, integrated, and deconflicted with conventional operations to enhance mission accomplishment and prevent friendly fires. (paragraph 3)
When conventional air forces are anticipated in support of SOF, an ASOC-like capability is made available through prior coordination with the JFACC. (paragraph 3)
Detailed planning is required when strike aircraft accompany a SOF infiltration, conduct preplanned CAS missions, or are on call during actions at an objective area. (paragraph 3)
The ARFOR HQ is responsible for providing inputs to the daily ATO, ACO, SPINS, and other products affecting air-ground operations with supporting air components through the battlefield coordination detachment (BCD) at the JAOC. (paragraph 7)
