MCO 5600.31B establishes policy for document services, Command Printing Officers, electronic distribution, equipment assets, and publication management. Documents and publications will be distributed and used electronically to the extent practicable as a cost saving measure and as a means to quickly disseminate the most current information. (paragraph 4)
The DoD Logistics Agency (DLA) Document Services (DLADS) shall serve as the DoD single manager for printing and high speed-high volume duplicating, including both the operation of DoD in-house facilities and the procurement of these services from outside the DoD. (paragraph 4)
Marine Corps units and activities will use the supporting COMCAM as the first source for production printing and then DLADS. (paragraph 4)
The COMCAM print shops are not permitted to print distribution statement A, EDO publications in their entirety unless the print request has been approved by the MCCPPMO. (paragraph 2)
