Prepare and issue DSOUM when operational conditions have been identified which can cause catastrophic results, including death, severe personal injury, or severe damage to equipment, related system(s), components, or the environment, and where a high safety risk determination has been made. (paragraph 4)
Use of deadlined equipment shall not resume until mitigation or resolution of the reason of issuance of the DSOUM has been rectified. (paragraph 4)
SOUM shall not suspend equipment or system operations. (paragraph 4)
The purpose of MAM is to mitigate negative maintenance, logistics, sustainment, or maintenance operational impacts by directing maintenance actions and/or updating technical manuals. (paragraph 4)
All Commanders, Commanding Officers, and Officers-In-Charge shall report all potential hazards associated with the operation of Marine Corps ground equipment and weapons systems. (paragraph 4)
