MCO 3501.1E establishes MCCRE execution requirements, including evaluation frequency, predeployment evaluations, and coordination with Service Level Training Events. It also addresses evaluator training, debriefs, performance evaluation checklists, rating calculations, and reporting MCCRE results.
Infantry and logistics regiments, Marine Air Groups (MAG), and all battalions, squadrons, aviation detachments, deployable companies and other independently deployable organizations will conduct a MCCRE of a unit’s core and/or assigned METs at least once every two (2) years, based on a biennial fiscal year requirement, or once per deployment cycle - whichever is more frequent for the active component. (paragraph 4)
A MCCRE will be conducted as part of the Predeployment Training Program (normally within six (6) months of deployment and post-activation for reserve units) as the minimum requirement for a unit to deploy in order to ensure combat readiness of the unit’s core and/or assigned METs, for both active and reserve components. (paragraph 4)
The MCCRE will be conducted prior to the deployment or Change of Operational Control (CHOP) of a subordinate unit to a task-organized unit, including units preparing to conduct a CHOP to a Marine Expeditionary Unit. (paragraph 4)
Publish all MCCRE results in MCTIMS MCCRE Module NLT 45 days after exercise completion. (paragraph 4)
Participants will include all evaluators, the ED’s representative, the TEC or appropriate representative, key TECG staff members, officer in charge of the aggressor force, and representatives from all units participating in the evaluation. (paragraph 3)
