MCO 3104.1B sets minimum acquisition requirements and standards for VIRINs, captions, photographs, metadata, classification labeling, and imagery archives. It also addresses portfolios, printing and reproduction, awards, video production, legal releases, copyright licenses, and cross-organizational support.
Applies to: All units will comply with the direction provided in this Order.
The minimum images required are; establishing/overall, medium, close-up, interaction, sequence and closing image and interviews (required element for video). (paragraph 4)
Set digital still cameras to acquire imagery using RAW/JPEG recording.
RAW files will be forwarded to CCM/CCMS no later than 30 days after acquisition of the imagery.
The caption information will include all the details of the production, including who, what, where, when, why and how.
Personal Identifiable Information (PII) will not be included within any part of the meta-data or caption of a product or image. (paragraph 1-3)
