The Marine Corps Worship Service is an annual event held in conjunction with the Marine Corps Birthday. (paragraph 4)
Religious ceremonies and divine services are traditional in observing Marine Corps birthday celebrations. These ceremonies and services will be held on the Sunday immediately preceding or following the birthday. (paragraph 4)
The Chaplain of the Marine Corps (REL) is the lead agent at Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) for the annual worship service in the National Capital Region (NCR). (paragraph 4)
The Commandant’s Protocol Office supports HQMC REL in all aspects of the annual service, including compiling the guest list and coordinating seating arrangements. (paragraph 4)
The Commanding Officer, Marine Barracks Washington, will provide the Marine Corps Color Guard and usher support. (paragraph 4)
