What does the Transition Readiness Program provide Marines?

TRP provides support to Marines to prepare for their transition from military to civilian life and provides them with the tools and resources needed to pursue and meet Department of Defense (DoD) directed Career Readiness Standards (CRS). (paragraph 3)

What are the mandatory components of the Transition Readiness Seminar?

Standard modules and instruction that provide, at a minimum, mandatory requirements to include Individualized Initial Counseling (IC), Pre-Separation Counseling Brief, TRS workshops, Capstone Review, and Commander’s Verification. (paragraph 3)

When must the Transition Readiness Seminar requirements be completed?

Eligible Marines must complete the TRS requirements as outlined in this Order and in accordance with the prescribed timeframes outlined in chapter 5 of this Order. (paragraph 3)

When must Individualized Initial Counseling be completed?

IC must be completed no later than 365 days prior to the EAS date. (paragraph 4)

Where must Marines complete Transition Readiness Seminar requirements?

Marines must complete the TRS requirements with the Marine Corps installation, or DoD military installation, they are physically attached or assigned to. (paragraph 2)
