Nomination packages and awards request should be submitted three months in advance of the proposed presentation date to allow sufficient time for processing. (paragraph 4)
Honorary awards should be presented in a timely manner to ensure recognition of an awardee at an appropriate ceremony. (paragraph 4)
Concise language to accurately state reason for granting the award (not to exceed 12 lines with 75 characters per line, or exceed 200 words total for the DCSA). (paragraph 2)
Marine Corps NAF employees may not receive monetary awards paid from appropriated funds. (paragraph 6)
