MCO 1020.34H covers hair, fingernails, civilian attire, uniform types, footwear, awards, insignia, and uniform components. It requires uniform and grooming policies to be disseminated, administered, upheld, and enforced.

Fingernails with multiple colors (except as mentioned in paragraph 1004.7.b(1)(c)1.c) and decorative ornamentation are prohibited. (paragraph 1)
Colored fingernail polish is not authorized for wear with the utility uniform (except as mentioned in paragraph 1004.7.b(1)(c)1.c). (paragraph 2)
Press-on and acrylic nails are authorized for wear as long as they are maintained within the length and style regulations as per regulations detailed above. (paragraph 3)
Revealing clothing (i.e. clothing that exposes midriff, the buttocks, excessive amounts of chest/cleavage) or items designed to be worn as undergarments (and worn exposed) are not authorized for civilian attire, while on or off duty. (paragraph 2)
Use of forced hot air to dry boots will stiffen the leather and cause cracks. (paragraph 2)
