Applies to: This Instruction applies to officers, enlisted personnel, reservists, and civilians with work roles in Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO), and Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) Operations.
Only the Office of Cyberspace Forces (CG-791) and FORCECOM (FC-T) may approve and fund formal cyber training. (paragraph 1)
All individuals assigned to cyber work roles shall undergo a qualification process prior to certification in that work role. (paragraph 1)
The Operational Commander and Outlying Cyber Units are responsible for establishing a qualification process that requires completion of authorized cyber work role JQRs, appropriate technical evaluations, periods of supervised practice, and a qualification examination board. (paragraph 3)
All cyber work role JQRs shall be submitted to Commandant (CG-791) for review and concurrence before implementation. (paragraph 4)
Meet quarterly, at a minimum, unless the Operational Commander requests an increase in frequency. (paragraph 3)
