Applies to: It applies to units assigned to the 374th Airlift Wing (374 AW), subordinate units, and units assigned, attached, or supported by Yokota Air Base (AB).
The requirements will be reviewed annually by the requesting unit and updated as required. (paragraph 10-2)
If the MEF or a weather watch, warning, or advisory does not cover a specific local weather requirement, it is the responsibility of the individual unit to contact the 374 OSS/OSW to coordinate support. (paragraph 10-2)
The 374 OSS/OSW will monitor the Tokyo Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) website, AFW-WEBS, and Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) for volcanic ash plume advisories. (paragraph 10-2)
374 OSS/OSW leadership will assess the need to initiate SWAP procedures depending on the severity of the natural disaster and response efforts or as directed. (paragraph 10-2)
The 374 OSS/OSW will provide weather data and evaluate the accuracy of transport model data against any/all relevant observation data available as requested by the installation Emergency Manager (EM), Fire Emergency Services (FES), and Bioenvironmental Engineering (BEE). (paragraph 10-2)
