Applies to: This instruction applies to all base, tenant, and transient activities involved in transporting explosives on WPAFB, including Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard (ANG).
All intrabase movement of explosives must be in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Air Force, Department of Transportation, State, and other pertinent directives. (paragraph 2)
Transporters must adhere to approved explosives movement routes designated by the Commander’s explosives safety representative. (paragraph 2)
88 LRS/LGRDCF personnel will perform a vehicle inspection using DD Form 626, Motor Vehicle Inspection (Transporting Hazardous Material) and initiate AF Form 4388, Inbound Transportation Protective Service Material Checklist, for each terminating shipment, and accept delivery. (paragraph 2)
All explosives/munitions shipments arriving at WPAFB must enter the base primarily through Gate 26A. (paragraph 2)
Gate 15A may be used as alternate entry points due to contingencies, weather, threat, construction, etc. (paragraph 2)
