The publication covers SATAF creation, conferences, summary reports, actions, PPlan and PMsg development, implementation, changes, and closure. It prescribes procedures and responsibilities for these processes and requires compliance with the instruction.
Applies to: This publication is applicable to HQ USAFE-AFAFRICA staff agencies, Geographically Separated Units (GSU), units assigned to USAFE-AFAFRICA, and non-USAFE units who serve as OPR for USAFE-AFAFRICA SATAF actions.
Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained IAW AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and disposed of IAW Air Force Records Information Management System Records Disposition Schedule.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the publication OPR for non-tiered compliance items.
A SATAF may be convened to support bringing a program, system, equipment and/or site to operational readiness. (paragraph 2)
SATAFs are also conducted to facilitate unit activations, deactivations, relocations, and conversions from one weapon system to another. (paragraph 2)
