Who initiates a request to extend or curtail an Academy tour?

The member’s unit commander (or equivalent) initiates the request and includes full justification and necessary endorsements as described on page two. (paragraph 1)

Forward requests to Staff Superintendent or Director of Staff for manning validation.

HQ USAFA/A1K will coordinate the completed form through AFPC/DP2OS for final determination and will notify the requesting agency upon receipt of approval or disapproval from final approval authority.

Who completes an advanced educational opportunity request?
