Applies to: This publication establishes policy and procedures for intercollegiate athletic programs and applies to all United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) personnel who participate or support intercollegiate athletic programs.
The cost of the commercial ticket will not exceed the General Services Administration (GSA) City Pair Program (CPP). (paragraph 2)
For cadets who obtain airfare over the authorized amount, reimbursement will be made to the Air Force Academy Athletic Association (AFAAA) NLT 5 business days after returning from the Bowl or leave status. (paragraph 2)
Only authorized personnel will travel via military air when transportation is provided by HQ AMC in accordance with AFI 24-602, V1, Passenger Movement, and USAFAI 24-101, Airlift Support for USAF Academy Activities. (paragraph 2)
Pursuant to guidance contained in DoDD 4515.13-R, DoDD 4500.56, and AFI 24-602, V1, spouses may travel with their sponsor at government expense only when there is an unquestionable official requirement in which the spouse will actually participate in the function requiring the travel, or it is deemed by proper authority in the National interest because of a diplomatic or public relations benefit to the country. (paragraph 2)
The primary travel member will pay the cost of travel by a spouse in an unofficial status. Seating for a spouse in an unofficial travel status will be on a space available basis. (paragraph 2)
