It covers administration and enforcement, fire prevention practices, fire reporting, inspections, evacuation drills, electrical safety, fire extinguishers, fire protection systems, and hydrants. It also addresses flammable and combustible liquids, hot work, open burning, wildland/urban interface clearance, commercial food service facilities, and fire department vehicle access.
Applies to: This publication applies to all military personnel, Reserve, National Guard, civilians, contractors, and concessionaires and cannot be supplemented.
Open Fire permits are now required 48 hours in advance.
A copy of this instruction will be kept in each unit/agency publication library and compliance with this instruction cannot be waived.
Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the office of primary responsibility (OPR) using the AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication.
Ensure that all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained IAW Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322, Records management and Information Governance Program, and disposed of IAW Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS) Records Disposition Schedule (RDS).
