We provide a cleaner and safer environment through education, support, and involvement of all personnel in environmental compliance, pollution prevention, and conservation of natural and cultural resources.
We (a) eliminate compliance sites through process elimination or reduction, to the maximum extent possible, (b) reduce hazardous material purchases and use through process changes or reduction, product substitution, and proper material management procedures, (c) reduce solid waste disposal through aggressive recycling efforts, and (d) maximize recycled content product purchases of supplies and materials.
We promote reducing consumption of petroleum products, electricity, and gas.
Sheppard AFB complies with all federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements, as well as all Department of Defense, Air Force, Air Education and Training Command, local and Sheppard AFB regulations, instructions, policies, plans, and directives.
