The term “corporate limits” is defined as Seymour Johnson AFB proper, and the City of Goldsboro, North Carolina. (paragraph 2)
Reservists residing in the corporate area are NOT entitled to any type of travel or transportation allowance. (paragraph 2)
The local area is defined as “the area within the Permanent Duty Station (PDS) limits and the metropolitan area around the PDS served by the local public transit systems; the local commuting area as determined by the Authorizing or Approving Official (AO) or local Service or DoD Agency; and the separate cities, towns or installations among which the public commutes on a daily basis”. (paragraph 3)
Reservists performing tours of duty at Seymour Johnson AFB are considered to be residing within the Commuting Area if they reside within any of the following cities/zip codes as identified in Attachment 2. (paragraph 3)
IAW JTR Chapter 3, table 3-1, Reservists residing within the commuting area are authorized the applicable Temporary Duty (TDY) automobile or motorcycle mileage rate for one round trip for the duration of the duty (not daily) between their residence and duty location. (paragraph 2)
