It covers response and recovery phases, vehicle and support equipment, inspections, transient aircraft, team qualifications, and training. The publication requires qualified personnel, documented inspections, and initial and annual refresher training.
Applies to: This instruction is applicable to all units that may be tasked to support aircraft recovery operations, including Robin’s Mission Partner units.
The mishap scene must be determined safe by the IC prior to any investigation or further CDDAR actions. (paragraph 91-202)
The incident aircraft and its equipment must not be disturbed or removed unless directed or released by the IC, ISB President or Impoundment Official/owning unit representative. (paragraph 91-202)
Periodic equipment inspections must be accomplished per intervals established in technical orders or annually as a minimum. (paragraph 5)
Document inspections and maintenance on AFTO Form 244, Industrial/Support Equipment Record, or on MAJCOM approved form. (paragraph 5)
All team members will attend AETC CDDAR Formal Training at Sheppard AFB, TX and must be qualified in basic CDDAR operations IAW T.O. 00-80C-1. (paragraph 10-2)
