Applies to: This instruction applies to all Air Force and tenant units, military and civilian personnel transporting or arranging the transport of dangerous goods (DG) inside or outside Ramstein Air Base and associated Geographically Separate Units (GSUs).
The requirements for the carriage of dangerous goods described in this instruction also apply to members of the Civil Air Patrol, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard.
In context of this instruction, the term dangerous goods include ammunition, explosives, hazardous material, and hazardous waste regulated in dangerous goods regulations (ADR/RID/IMDG-Code), unless otherwise identified.
Compliance with Chapter 13 of this instruction is mandatory.
Civilian employees who fail to obey the mandatory provisions of Chapter 13 [Paragraph 13.4.1 through 13.4.9; 13.4.13 and 13.4.14] and any provisions of mandatory subparagraph(s)] are subject to administrative disciplinary action without regard to otherwise applicable criminal or civil sanctions.
