It establishes procedures for aircraft maintenance, communications, Technical Assistance Requests, Foreign Object Damage and Dropped Object Prevention programs, and flight checks. It also sets requirements for munitions transport, including qualified personnel, approved containers, placards, fire extinguishers, and tie-down straps.
When this instruction conflicts with direction from a tenant unit’s chain of command, tenant units will follow guidance from their HHQ, Wing, or Group.
Maximum shifts under normal conditions are 12 hours.
Cell phones and other personal electronic devices (e.g., tablets, pagers, etc.) possessed on the flight line or in maintenance work areas will only be used for official/authorized business.
The work center responsible for the repair of the discrepancy will draft the TAR/MAR, routing it to their respective production section and squadron maintenance supervision for approval and forwarding to Quality Assurance (QA).
A minimum of two 2A:10BC fire extinguishers must be in the transport vehicle, one in the cab and one in the cargo area, during the movement of munitions. (paragraph 1)
