It contains modules on immunization principles, active and adult vaccines, pediatric vaccines, adverse reactions, and the Aeromedical Services Information Management System. The package requires trainees to identify vaccine requirements, administer and document immunizations, and respond to anaphylactic and vasovagal reactions.
Applies to: These qualification-training packages (QTPs) were developed to enhance on-the-job training (OJT) for Allergy/Immunizations technicians (SEI 453) and personnel trained as IBT’s.
Without error, the trainee will successfully identify vaccine requirements, administer, and document active duty and adult immunizations. (paragraph 5)
Prior to vaccine administration technician must provide the parents/guardian the opportunity to read the most recent Vaccine Information Statement(s) (VIS) and address any questions or concerns regarding vaccine(s). (paragraph 1)
Women of childbearing age receiving live viral vaccines must sign a pregnancy disclaimer. (paragraph 2)
