QTP4N0X1-1 covers sterilization, vital signs, cardiac monitoring, specimen collection, medication administration, fluid therapy, blood administration, tympanometry, and intake and output. It requires performance checklists, sufficient practice, evaluation, and documentation of task competency.
Applies to: These Qualification Training Packages (QTPs) were developed to enhance on-the-job training for Aerospace Medical Service Specialty personnel.
Remember--the objective of each QTP is to standardize training and to allow sufficient time for the trainee to learn each task thoroughly in order to perform the task without assistance. (paragraph 3)
The performance checklist must be used as you evaluate each task objective. (paragraph 4)
The QTP task completion is to be annotated on AF Form 1098, Special Task Certification and Recurring Training, filed in Part 3, Section B in AFTR. (paragraph 5)
If continuously monitoring oxygen saturation, verify that the SpO2 alarm limits preset by the manufacturer are at a low of 85% and a high of 100%.
Continue to monitor patient for delayed reactions. (paragraph 7)
