Applies to: This instruction applies to all groups within the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) that handle Materiel in support of the Depot Maintenance Program and use the Depot Maintenance Information Systems to order and turn in Materiel.
Future requirements are defined as Materiel that will be used within the next six months (180 days). (paragraph 1)
The justification must include an estimated date the Materiel is expected to be used and a valid reason to maintain the Materiel in the Y-store. (paragraph 1)
Only serviceable (condition code A) Materiel’s will be placed in the Ystore. (paragraph 1)
Prior to placing the material in the MPS store, research will be performed to ensure the item has a valid NSN or locally assigned stock number (PG or non-definitive), only ERRC’s XB3 (N) or XF3 (P) maybe stored in the MPS store. (paragraph 1)
MPS stores will be inventoried and reconciled monthly to ensure that MPS and the physical locations match. (paragraph 1)
