It covers weather watches, warnings, advisories, observations, forecasts, mission weather products, flight briefings, and emergency operations. Compliance with Attachments 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 is mandatory, and waivers are not authorized.
Applies to: It applies to all agencies described herein, to include the 908th Flying Training Wing (AF Res); it does not apply to the ANG.
Notify appropriate agencies of the issuance of Watches/Warnings. (paragraph 15-129)
SWAP Standby Member/Team Chief Report to the Maxwell Weather office within 30 minutes of initial notification. (paragraph 1-3)
Ensure all applicable watches/warnings/advisories are issued and notification has been accomplished. (paragraph 6)
If severe criteria occurs, archive radar data.
When significant weather occurs and results in Class A and/or B damage, base closure, or mission degradation., the following information will be provided to the Maxwell Command Post: actual severe weather experienced; Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) valid at the time of occurrence; any watches, warnings and or advisories issued to include actual and desired lead-time; and operational status of meteorological equipment.
