Applies to: This KAFBI applies to all civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force, United States Space Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard involved in explosives operations.
Receiving organizations will meet all vehicles with AA&E at the ELV parking area. (paragraph 3)
377 LRS/LGRD personnel will inspect the vehicle for compliance with safety regulations before AA&E are loaded. DD Form 626 will be used to conduct and document the inspection. (paragraph 5)
Vehicle drivers transporting AA&E shipments for ARA will enter/exit KAFB through the Truman Gate. (paragraph 6)
Inbound Commercial Vehicles (excluding DOE/Office of Secure Transport (DOE/OST) vehicles) transporting AA&E, HAZMAT, or RAM shipments on KAFB will enter through the DOE contractor gate, located approximately 500 feet south of the Eubank (military) Gate. (paragraph 7)
The procedures in DTR 4500.9-R, Chapter 205, Section Q, require drivers to request SAFE HAVEN/REFUGE through the Defense Transportation Tracking System (DTTS) Hot Line. (paragraph 9)
