It establishes KRWG coordination for proposed deployments or temporary duties to Kadena Air Base and provides feasibility analysis to the 18 WG/CC. It sets exceptions, approval authority, member roles, and support coordination requirements.
Applies to: It applies to all organizations assigned or attached to Kadena Air Base (KAB).
Units flying aircraft or deploying ground forces to KAB that intend to remain overnight, operate from, or make use of KAB facilities and resources must coordinate with the KRWG prior to arrival unless the mission meets the exception criteria outlined in Paragraph 3. (paragraph 2)
Transient aircraft that are authorized to be on the ground for a maximum of 72 hours without conducting operations, as per the recommendation of 18 OSS/OSAA and with the approval of the KRWG Co-Chairs. (paragraph 3)
The 18 WG/CC is the approval authority for all nonHHQ-directed movements to KAB. (paragraph 4)
Four or fewer aircraft requesting to visit five nights or fewer. (paragraph 4)
Units deploying to KAB will use established KAB points of contact (POC) from local functional areas listed in the 18 WG Reception Welcome Packet to coordinate support requirements, to include: lodging, workspace, aerospace ground equipment, communications, vehicles, fuel, munitions, and medical support as required. (paragraph 5)
