Applies to: It provides guidance to establish positive procedures for the issue, control and utilization of munitions during ground defense training and is applicable to all military and civilian personnel, including Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard personnel, assigned to the 628th Security Forces Squadron (628 SFS).
Only munitions listed in Attachment 2 are authorized during training. (paragraph 1)
The only Wing Safety approved training locations are the Air Base ATSO area, M-203 grenade launcher practice range and the Combat Arms range. (paragraph 5)
Only approved dye-marking ammunition and properly modified weapons are authorized for use in the training/exercise area. (paragraph 6)
The CRO or RSOs will visually inspect all magazines, weapons and ammunition prior to commencement of each day’s training. (paragraph 6)
All personnel will check all ammunition, equipment and weapons they receive from someone else for any safety problems or live ammunition. (paragraph 6)
