Applies to: This instruction applies to all 39th Air Base Wing (39 ABW) personnel (including Active Duty, Guard and Reserve members and Dependents) assigned or attached to Incirlik Air Base, Türkiye.
To register POAs at the facility, owners are required to show legitimate documentation of the origin of the animal, microchip information and sign the Incirlik Client Policy Letter. (paragraph 1)
POAs must be registered with the Incirlik Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF) within 10 business days. (paragraph 1)
39 CES is responsible for the actual trapping of all stray and unrestrained animals. (paragraph 1)
Prior to taking captured animals to the stray facility, 39 CES will scan the animals for a microchip. (paragraph 1)
Lethal force will be the last resort but used if needed to protect the base population. (paragraph 1)
