EIELSONAFBI36-2502 establishes procedures for Central Base Board and large unit board selections, including scheduled boards and documented consideration. It addresses eligibility, quota distribution, promotion authority, and personnel data verification.
Applies to: This instruction applies to all host, associate, and Temporary Duty (TDY) organizations serviced by the 354th Force Support Squadron (FSS) Military Personnel Section (MPS).
The 354th Fighter Wing (FW) will conduct regularly scheduled selection boards. These boards are usually held during the first week of the following months: March, June, September, and December. (paragraph 1)
Selection opportunity is 15 percent of the eligible population based on total time-in-grade (TIG) and time-in-service (TIS) and quality factors. (paragraph 2)
Fully qualified minimum requirements for SrA are 36 months TIS and 20 months TIG, or 28 months TIG, whichever occurs first (sample of timeline provided at Attachment 2). (paragraph 4)
The member must meet promotion requirements established in AFI 36-2502, Table 1. (paragraph 4)
Quotas are based on 15 percent of the total TIG and TIS eligible population, regardless of normal ineligibility conditions. (paragraph 5)
