It addresses voting assistance, overseas marriages, charitable fundraising, the Air Force Assistance Fund, and retiree activities. It requires personnel to be informed about available programs and establishes responsibilities for policy oversight and implementation.
Applies to: This publication applies to Department of the Air Force civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air Force, United States Space Force (USSF), Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard.
The DAF will provide voting information and the means to vote using absentee ballots to members of the DAF and their dependents, civilian Federal employees, and other qualified voters that have access to installation offices. (paragraph 2)
The DAF will counsel members stationed overseas on the restrictions of the United States immigration laws when marrying citizens of other countries. (paragraph 2)
All DAF members and organizations, which includes both unit-affiliated unofficial activities/social funds and installation-recognized private organizations, must comply with proper guidelines when organizing and participating in fundraising activities. (paragraph 2)
Installation Commanders and his/her delegates, under legal advisement, are the approval authority for all fundraising on DAF installations. (paragraph 2)
The DAF will ensure retirees have the opportunity to maintain contact with, and assist, their fellow retirees, retirees’ families, and members of the Air Force and Space Force and will keep members of the retiree community informed on their entitlements and key issues affecting them. (paragraph 2)
