Applies to: This publication applies to uniformed members of the Regular Air Force (RegAF), United States Space Force (USSF), Air Force Reserve (AFR) and Air National Guard (ANG), as well as cadets at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) being discharged for misconduct.
In case of a conflict between the provisions of this manual, when made applicable, and the provisions of the specific instruction authorizing the board, the latter governs.
The authorities to waive wing, unit or delta level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement.
Ensure all records generated as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
