It covers Air Force dosimeters, electronic personal dosimeters, dose of record, monitoring criteria, monitoring periods, and prior occupational dose. It also addresses exposure from secondary employment, external agencies, internally deposited radioactive materials, and the Radiation Dosimetry Web, while requiring protected information and related records to be collected and maintained.
Applies to: This instruction applies to all DAF personnel including uniformed members of the Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard.
The requirements in this manual do not apply to government contractors, or government contractor-hired subcontractor employees, except as otherwise specified in the applicable government contract.
Ensure all records created as a result of processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule located in the Air Force Records Information Management System.
Submit requests for waivers through the chain of command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, for non-tiered compliance items, to the requestor’s commander.
