The publication establishes local guidance for managing Air Force IT hardware and commercial off-the-shelf software. It requires inventories, custodial accountability, training, documentation, and compliance with its attachments.
Applies to: This publication applies to all military and civilian personnel assigned to Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex; it does not apply to the AFRC or the ANG, however, guidance pertaining to the software license management program does apply to all military and civilian personnel assigned to Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex.
Compliance with attachments to this supplement is mandatory.
Subordinate units may issue implementing publications.
Directs UPCs to conduct annually, at a minimum, a complete inventory of all IT hardware assets assigned to the Unit APO APSR account.
Appointments will occur no later than 45 calendar days prior to the projected departure of the current UPC.
Ensure UPC(s) are scheduled for training with the ECO within 45 calendar days of initial appointment and annually thereafter.
