It addresses alternatives and engagement planning for airspace actions, including effects on recreational areas, farming, wildlife, and communities. It also requires unit airspace manager training programs to review specified publications, procedures, environmental documentation, and ongoing projects.
Review all local operating procedures. (e.g., base airfield operations instruction/base flying regulation, etc.)
Review environmental documentation for local airspace and procedures.
Attend USAF Airspace Management Course: Within the first 6-months of assuming airspace manager duties, if possible, and update the proper SEI (if applicable) in individual’s personnel records (N/A to ANG).
The wing plans on balancing this impact by activating the Sideshow MOA no more than four hours per day.
