It identifies AFMC Centers and Wings for inspection purposes and addresses By-Law Inspections, unit self-assessments, and Commander’s Inspection Reports. It requires coordination of supplements and waiver requests, and sets conditions for contractor requirements and records disposition.
Applies to: This publication applies to Air Force Materiel Command civilian employees, uniformed members of the Regular Air Force (RegAF), the Air Force Reserve, and the Air National Guard (ANG).
All supplements that implement this publication must be routed to AFMC/IG for coordination prior to publishing.
Units may supplement this instruction; however, supplemented requirements cannot be less restrictive.
All contractor requirements contained within this publication must be contained within the contract/grant/agreement to be enforceable. (paragraph 3)
NMUSAF Director will appoint a QA Chief to administer applicable portions of the Unit Self-Assessment Program. (paragraph 3)
AFMC Center Commanders are encouraged to but are not required to submit a Commander’s Inspection Report (CCIR). (paragraph 3)
